California’s coastal setting inspires people to live in the moment and savour life gently. This lifestyle is reflected in the state’s relaxed interior designs, which embrace craftsmanship and the artistry of materials.
The kitchen stands as the embodiment of the West Coast lifestyle and design ethos. Guided by our senior designer’s profound understanding of the couple’s needs and lifestyle, this project emerged as a unique and harmonious creation. The well-thought-out space, the natural materials, and abundant natural light all contribute to craft a haven of peace within the heart of this home. In such a space, every soul finds a sense of grounding and heightened presence.
Adorned with square tile embellishments, the hood and adjacent kitchen wall steal the spotlight. These tiles, with their natural variations and tactile texture, infuse the room with a cozy, handcrafted feel. Each tile appears unique, lending character with a touch of retro charm to the design.
Adding an element of refinement to this kitchen are the glass cabinet doors from Ateliers Jacob. Aged with oak, these custom-made cabinets exude a nostalgic allure and introduce an authentic dimension to the space.
At the center of it all, the island stands as a tribute to the breathtaking beauty of the West Coast, where rugged mountains converge with the vast expanse of the ocean. Composed of wooden panels and crowned with a natural Carrara Marble countertop, this custom-crafted island epitomizes both functionality and hospitality. Offering ample seating and storage space, it beckons all to pause and savour life’s simple pleasures. With a fireplace nestled near the kitchen, the homeowners have the privilege of preparing meals while basking in its comforting warmth and inviting ambiance.
The handcrafted hallway rug, adorned with a captivating array of prints and colours, radiates optimism. Authentic textiles grace the rooms, bestowing upon each space a distinctive and personal touch.
