Hello, it’s a great day to start a project.
Contemporary Kitchen
Nestled in the heart of the Laurentians, between mountains and lakes, this home features a contemporary kitchen designed by Ateliers Jacob. Far from the city’s pace, the space unfolds in serene balance where clean lines meet rich materials, creating a contrast between the crispness of the surfaces and the inviting warmth of the wood.
At the centre, the island anchors the kitchen. Generous and welcoming, it fulfills three essential roles: providing ample storage space, offering a spacious work surface for meal preparation, and serving as a welcoming gathering point.
Hanstone Matterhorn quartz, used for both the countertop and backsplash, unifies the composition. Its soft sheen reflects light with subtlety, highlighting the simplicity of the lines. Sleek stools arranged around the island invite conversation, turning meal preparation into a shared moment.
Clad in wood from the Ateliers Jacob collection, the island embodies both elegance and practicality. Its minimalist design blends perfectly with impeccable functionality, a testament to the expertise of our kitchen design team, who successfully combine aesthetics with ergonomics.
The element of this contemporary kitchen was designed with the owners’ real needs in mind. Each area reflects a keen understanding of their habits and rituals.
Near the hidden refrigerator, a refined coffee corner unfolds like a hidden gem. Behind integrated doors, a complete station is housed: an espresso machine, cups, and accessories neatly arranged. This well-designed space frees up the main work surface, transforming the morning routine into a deliberate, elegant ritual.
The cabinets, extending from floor to ceiling, offer a wealth of storage options. Everything is accessible, yet neatly concealed. This approach reflects the guiding philosophy of Ateliers Jacob: creating high-end kitchens where functionality is intuitive and beauty feels effortless.
Behind a discreet door, a hidden pantry completes the layout. A true kitchen backdrop, ideal for storing supplies, concealing small appliances, and preparing food away from the main space.
This duality—a visible and impeccable space, supported by a discreet working area—captures today’s design philosophy. Ateliers Jacob has mastered the balance between aesthetics and functionality, ensuring every line remains graceful, even when life is busy.
The high-end character of this kitchen reveals itself in its details. Inspired by European kitchens, a wall-mounted faucet above the stove stands out as an elegant and practical feature. A subtle touch allowing pots to be filled directly on the cooktop, simplifying cooking without disrupting the visual harmony.
The custom hood, clad in the same material as the Ateliers Jacob cabinets, blends in with continuity, echoing the refined proportions of sophisticated contemporary European design.
Kadrium glass doors exude a distinctive presence. Their nuanced transparency and deep tones recall the timeless elegance of Mid-Century Modern style. Through a subtle interplay of light and texture, they reveal a tranquil depth that enhances the interpretation of the space.
