Hello, it’s a great day to start a project.
Farmhouse Kitchens
This kitchen transcends its original function to become a place that brings people together. A place where materials, light, and everyday life gently interact.
Each texture tells a story: the velvety smoothness of lacquer, the coolness of quartzite, the warmth of oak glowing softly in the late afternoon sun. Together, they create a lively atmosphere that feels both grounded and elevated.
This blend of emotion and utility embodies Ateliers Jacob’s philosophy: to design spaces that last, that gain depth with time and that preserve their original precision. Here, design invites you to slow down and savour the moment, in a balance where every detail flows naturally.
The custom-made white oak central island, crafted by Ateliers Jacob, anchors the kitchen. Massive yet visually weightless, it combines conviviality and functionality.
Its balanced proportions feel instinctive, inviting shared a meals or conversations. Every detail, from the wood grain to the polished quartzite countertop, reflects the quest for timeless design that is so characteristic of Ateliers Jacob kitchens.
Hidden storage spaces beneath the countertop extend the elegance of the design without interrupting the visual continuity. An open niche simply displays ceramics, recipe books, and everyday objects. Above, two light fixtures with cream-hued shades and gold interiors hang from fine brass chains.
Their mellow glow ripples across the stone and wood, echoing the brass details of the handles and faucet like a subtle, luminous dialogue between materials.
A soothing atmosphere emanates from the moment you enter the kitchen. The eye is naturally drawn to the window, where the sink, positioned at the heart of the L-shaped layout, basks in generous daylight.
More than a functional zone, this becomes a contemplative one. Each ray of light glides over the surfaces, creating a sense of continuity between the materials, from the polished Bianco Superior quartzite to the white oak of the central island.
Brass appears like a golden thread, connecting various elements, such as the handles, faucet, utensil holder, and lighting. Its patinated sheen creates a delicate contrast with the natural stone.
Bianco Superiore quartzite unfolds across the countertop and backsplash like a mineral canvas. Its fine veins, flowing from gray to white, give the room a natural and soothing beauty. The stone extends along the wall, forming a sophisticated backsplash with a built-in shelf, where functionality and aesthetics blend harmoniously.
Rooted in the farmhouse tradition yet resolutely modern, this kitchen redefines rustic refinement. The light fluted glass doors discreetly recall antique display cabinets while still allowing light to filter through.
Their partial transparency reveals the contents of the cabinets without detracting from the overall simplicity. The combination of wood, brass, and natural stone creates a common language—a quiet elegance, focused on sustainability.
